Food Essay P5
Could Our Everyday Foods Be Killing Us?
blame for some of the most serious epidemics in our society today: obesity, cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and so forth. As food consumers I guess this means that if we want to live healthy, productive lives without the concerns of any of the above epidemics than we should boycott the grocery stores all together.
Maybe instead of going through the fast-food drive through or buying that frozen dinner at the grocery store we should start hunting or raising our own meats and growing a garden again so we know what is in our food. But, since society makes it is easier to go though that drive-thru and quicker to by that frozen dinner that is what our society will continue to do. I mean after all we could not make healthy easy, could we? But, no matter what our individual eating habits maybe one rule has always remained the same – moderation is the key. Anything in our society could be considered harmful if we abused it and the food that we consume on a daily basis is obviously no different.
